Green Ladder

The Green Ladder project improves and deepens student involvement in green issues by supporting a broad range of student led projects. This includes a high profile ‘green transformation project’ which will enable a diverse range of students to take part in environmental issues and activity.

The Green Ladder project will also include community volunteering, working in and with the communities of Preston to make positive environmental improvements; from tree planting to litter picks and Give It a Go events which offer students the opportunity to take part in a range of new projects from creating bird feeders to gardening and planting.

UCLan Students’ Union has also developed a Green Activist Academy; a set of training sessions and workshops which allow students to gain transferable skills and the knowledge to become agents for change.

Students can also shape the main transformation project; a large scale, student led project or projects that will see areas of the UCLan campus transformed.
